Keeping alive the age-old tradition of metal art, the tribals of central India are putting their heart on crafting startling pieces. This antique figurine is of Nanga Baigin, the first woman on this earth, according to Baiga belief. Posing like a hunter, the Eve of Baigas is shown in her elements here.
The Baiga have been the forest-dwelling indigenous tribe from central India. Baigas believe that they are the chosen few who have been hand-crafted by the God himself. The proud tribe considers themselves the kings and rulers of the entire earth. They called God, the Bhagwan, the Bada Dev (big deity).
